The *Piiritii Ltd* is establised by Estonian sociologist Aare Kasemets (see BIO) in 2014. Piiri is an old homestead with a log barn / farmhouse [1889], smoke sauna, pond and other wildlife between the forest and cornfields (see Gallery after BIO), 25 km from Estonian university town Tartu and 210 km from capital city Tallinn. Good place for creative thinking. The PiiriTii means in South-Estonian 'grandmother' language the BorderWay or the Way Between .... In global risk society context the [research] problems and solutions are usually between disciplinary and organisational 'boxes':)
A. The main competence / study / lecture areas:
1) The implementation of regulatory impact assessment and civic engagement methods in policy/service design and legislation. 12 preconditions for knowledge-based policy: OECD, EU and the case of Estonia 1998+ (see B)
